150 local teachers are trained about Information technology

More than 150 trainers are teachers, officers from schools, local organizations of Ha Long city attended the training courses on information and technology (IT) and marine environment.

This is an activity within the framework of the project "Raising awareness about marine environmental protection and opportunities to access information technology for teenagers living in difficulty in coastal area to improve their lives" other name is "Dream Boat", is launched by the Center for Marine Life Conservation and Community Development (MCD) collaborates with Vietnet Information and Communication Technology Center, with funding and technical support from Microsoft Group.

More than 150 trainers are teachers, officers from schools, local organizations of Ha Long city attended the training courses on information and technology (IT) and marine environment.

"Dream Boat" project has been run in Quang Ninh Province since the beginning of 2017 with the aim of raising awareness and enhancing ability in information technolody, computer and othe knowledge related to climate change, environmental protection for teenagers and difficult coastal community. Specially, this project helps 200 children of resettled fishing families and youths live in remmote, isolated areas with few learning opportunities access to information technology and basic knowledge of life, so they can have capacity to self-control in action, seek and make use of opportunities to improve their life.

Youths from Ha Phong, Hung Thang, Tuan Chau and Ha Khanh are selected to take part in "Dream Boat" training course. The project comes to students whether it is a classroom at school, or a small group at village cultural house, or even a tutorial session to familiarize with computer and basic information technology knowledge for youths who have never used computer, taking advantage of time when they come back from the beach. All activities are carried out with the support of authority and educational management agencies and local youths.
